Financial Incentives
The Ticino Film Commission offers financial incentives and free services for productions that choose to film in Ticino and also provides information and advice on other incentives available in Switzerland for film productions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
FILM PRODUCTION INCENTIVES
We can provide financial incentives to partially cover expenses in the region, from pre-production to post-production. The methods of disbursement are assessed individually for each project based on specific criteria.
INCENTIVES FOR THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE IN CINEMA (development and distribution)
We accompany and provide financial incentives at all stages of the development of films intended to be even partially filmed in the Italian language in Switzerland. We also support the creation of subtitles to and from Italian, as well as the translation of scripts to and from Italian.
REGIONAL FILM FUNDS
We facilitate access to regional funds that allow production companies residing in Switzerland or abroad to receive a credit for direct expenses incurred in companies, facilities, services and professionals for the production of films shot on the territory.
FREE SERVICES AND BENEFITS
We accompany independent film productions as well as television, commercial, music video and other non-narrative audiovisual productions with free services and benefits at all stages of production. From the moment of the preparation to the location search and related permits, casting, the search for technical and artistic staff, relationships with institutional and private partners and right up to post production.
