He and she, a first kiss, a fade to black: the beginning of a love story haunted by time. After the world premiere at the 60th edition of the Solothurn Film Days last January, the short film Fade to Black continues its journey in international festivals, landing in Asia.

The film, directed by Mariangela Marletta and Giovanni Jannoni and produced by REC (Lugano), has been selected in the official competition at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2025 in Tokyo, one of the largest short film festivals of the Asian continent, accredited by the Academy Awards. Fade to Black will be screened on May 30th, 2025, at Omotesando Hills Space, in the heart of the Japanese capital, in the presence of the directors.

The short film was produced by Stefano Mosimann / REC and made in co-production with RSI Radiotelevisione Svizzera, supported by the Federal Office of Culture, the Republic and Canton of Ticino, the FilmPlus Fund of Italian-speaking Switzerland, the Ticino Film Commission, the Mendrisio Film Fund, and Swiss Film.
