At its last meeting, on 29 November 2024, the Board of Trustees of the Ticino Film Commission - at the proposal of the Associazione Festival Internazionale del Film Locarno - appointed Raphaël Brunschwig, CEO of the Locarno Film Festival, president of the Monte Verità Literary Events and co-president of Swiss Top Events, as a new member. He succeeds Simona Gamba as the Locarno Film Festival's representative in the Ticino Film Commission.
The Board of Trustees would like to express its sincere thanks to Simona Gamba for her work and welcomes its new member, whose appointment underlines the importance of bringing together every regional film and audiovisual industry professional in a context that combines an international outlook with Locarno's pre-eminent role as a place that welcomes cinema at all stages of its development.
All the other members of the Board of Trustees were re-appointed at the meeting on 29 November, which is now composed as follows: Claudio Franscella (president), Michela Pini (Associazione Film Audiovisivi Ticino, vice-president), Kaspar Weber (Ticino Turismo), Alessandra Gavin Müller (Gruppo Regia e Sceneggiatura Svizzera italiana), Elena Tatti (producer) and Raphaël Brunschwig (Locarno Film Festival).
