Ann Oren's Objet a is the winner of the Ticino Film Commission Residence Award, a prize awarded for the first time this year as part of Alliance 4 Development. The Israeli director's film in development, produced by Kristof Gerega, Sophie Ahrens, and Fabian Altenried (Schuldenberg Films, Germany) won a two-day location scouting session (worth CHF 4,000) and a Letter of Intent (LOI) for financial support to the production company (worth a maximum of CHF 12,000) in the event that all or part of it is shot in Ticino.
To Alliance 4 Development, Locarno Pro's co-development program for audiovisual projects, the script consultancy residency at DreamAgo, worth CHF 5,000, offered by the Valais Film Commission, went instead to La P'tite by Despina Athanassiadis, produced by Quentin Daniel (Wombat Films, France), Pas Ta Maman by Michèle Flury, produced by Felix Schreiber of Sommerhaus Filmproduktion won the Alphapanda Market Breakout Award, a prize consisting of consultancy services worth 3,500 euros. Finally, the MIDPOINT Consulting Award, an in-depth online script consultation with one of the experts from the MIDPOINT Institute, went to WHO/MAN by Lorenz Merz, produced by Michela Pini (8horses, Switzerland).
