Cinema from Ticino, a strong presence on the Swiss scene
Tonight (20 January), the film ATLAS by the director from southern Switzerland Niccolò Castelli will open the 56th edition of the Solothurn Swiss Film Days and will be broadcast online on the festival website and on the three national networks RSI LA 2, RTS 2, SRF 2 from 8pm.
Then it will be the turn of Ticino director and producer Villi Hermann, who will be honoured in the festival's "Rencontre" programme with a substantial retrospective of his work, which the Ticino Film Commission has been honoured to support in the restoration of some of the films. And this is only the beginning, because there will be numerous films, fiction and documentaries - feature films and shorts - shot in Ticino or the work of Ticino professionals presented in the festival program.
