Applause for the Ticino premiere of "Gloria!"

A packed Palacinema and lots of applause on Wednesday 27 March for the Ticino premiere of Gloria! The evening's guests included Italian director Margherita Vicario and Ticino actress Jasmin Mattei, who introduced the film at the microphone of journalist Alessandro Bertoglio.

Set in Venice at the end of the 18th century, "Gloria!" was also filmed in Ticino with the support of TFC and found in the historic Palazzo dei Landfogti in Malvaglia the ideal set for some of its best musical scenes.

Produced by the Italian Tempesta with Swiss Tellfilm, the film hit the cinemas on 11 April after having had its world premiere in competition at the Berlinale in February.

The Locarno premiere was organised by Tellfilm and Filmcoopi Zurich in collaboration with Palacinema Locarno, Enjoy Arena Locarno and Ticino Film Commission, represented on the evening by operations manager Lisa Barzaghi.
