FILMING OF "BECAARIA": LATEST NEWS - UPDATE FOLLOWING BAD WEATHER IN THE UPPER VALLEMAGGIA

Following the critical situation linked to the natural disasters caused by the violent storms in Vallemaggia, Cinédokké, and Ticino Film Commission announce that the start of shooting for the film "Becaaria" by Erik Bernasconi, scheduled for tomorrow Monday 1. July 2024, has been postponed to a date to be determined.

The region affected by the violent weather, the main location of the film, i.e. the entire upper Maggia Valley, continues to be isolated and rescue operations continue. We remain waiting to see how the situation in the area will evolve. The production and Ticino Film Commission will communicate via this page on developments.

The cast and crew, who were already on location, are well. In the hope that all the film partners and the entire region's population will also be safe, the invitation is to follow the behavior instructions given by the local authorities.

Cinédokké and the Ticino Film Commission are very close to the population of the beautiful valley at this difficult time.
