"Angel Seekers" makes its debut at the Locarno Kids Screenings

Bianca, a young, rebellious idealist from Lugano, is sent to spend the summer with her uncle Fausto in Bolzano. Their relationship is difficult at first, but her encounter with the community of marginalised people and volunteers run by her uncle leads Bianca to see reality from new perspectives.

Also featured in the Locarno Kids Screenings section, as a special out-of-competition screening, is the debut feature film by Italian director Leopoldo Pescatore, shot in Bolzano and Lugano, where filming took place at the end of last September.

The film, produced by the Italian company Settembre Produzioni and the Ticino-based Rough Cut in collaboration with RSI, was also supported by the Ticino Film Commission.

Several professionals from Ticino or living in our region are part of the cast and crew, such as the Italian-Swiss actress Giorgia Würth, who is originally from Ticino, and the actors Igor Horvat and Anahi Traversi, sound engineer Edgar Jacolenna, make-up artist Assunta Ranieri, and Victor Hugo Fumagalli, who composed the music.

Angel Seekers will have its world premiere on Thursday 13 August at 4.30 pm at the Teatro Kursaal.
