The fiction feature film Das Maddock Manifest directed by Dimitri Stapfer will premiere today at the 57. Solothurn Film Days.
Partly shot in Ticino, the film transports us on an enigmatic cinematic journey - a modern fable about loneliness and the desire for change that shows our region through a very unique lens. The cast includes Benjiamin Buger, also the work's screenwriter, and Clarisse Mialet. The film is produced by the Bern-based independent film production company Lomotion AG (David Fonjallaz and Louis Mataré) in coproduction with Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF).
Synopsis
It all starts in an empty theater. In search of a manuscript that should change the world, Ben embarks on an odyssey. He encounters a flying fish, a dial-less telephone, an oracle called Enigma and a mystical canine figure in a deserted mountain landscape - reality and desire are inextricably intertwined in this visually stunning journey.
