"Tu che forse vedrai il sole" by Andrea Franchino

The graduation short film shot in Ticino will be presented in the Upcoming Talents competition at the 57. Solothurn Film Days.

We are pleased to announce that the short film Tu che forse vedrai il sole by Andrea Franchino will be presented in the Upcoming Talents program at the 57. Solothurn Film Days  - a competition open to short films by students of Swiss and foreign universities and young self-taught filmmakers with a prize of CHF 15,000.

 

The short diploma film produced by CISA (Conservatorio Internazionale Scienze Audiovisive) and the Lugano-based production company Central Productions, was shot in Ticino in the Church of Santa Maria Assunta di Torello in Carona in spring 2021.

 

 

Synopsis

 

In the Middle Ages, in the mountains of Piedmont, the struggle between heretics and crusaders rages, sowing terror in the region. Agata lives in a convent in the forest, sheltered from these events. One day, while gathering wood with other nuns, she finds an injured and dying man and wants to help him.
