Casa Martinelli was built around 1650. In 2001, architect Luigi Snozzi designed an additional building with 8 double rooms. The historic house has, despite the renovation, retained its old-fashioned charm - with a beautiful cellar and a very particular fresco depicting the Madonna and Child. One of the characteristics of the house is the typical stone roof and a beautiful and spacious wooden veranda. The house serves as a hotel and is closed in winter (December - March), in fact during this period the house is vacant and empty.
Casa Martinelli is located in Maggia, in Vallemaggia, in a very quiet place near the Cascata del Salto waterfall. It can be reached by car and the house provides a large parking area.
