Ancient Sawmill, Faido
The earliest documentation of its existence dates back to 1698, when sawmills began to appear along the waterways. One of the few sawmills with horizontal blades, located near the Piumogna Waterfall in Faido and its pine woods. The horizontal saw from 1896 is, even today, the only one of its kind that is still operational.
