The villa that houses the Villa dei Cedri Museum is of nineteenth-century origin, with late neoclassical elements. The current appearance of the building is due to an extension carried out in the 1930s which has preserved its appearance as a bourgeois residence.
The museum devotes particular attention to works on paper and graphic art. Works from the collection are periodically exhibited in special projects or to complement the works and theme of temporary exhibitions.
The museum is surrounded by an English-style landscaped park with several footpaths, as well as an Italian garden with a central fountain. The vegetation consists mainly of old trees and conifers. In the park there are several sculptures and a tent-like structure with excellent acoustics.
