The Casa dei Landfogti of Rivera, in the municipality of Monteceneri, was a stopping point of strategic importance between the 16thto the 18thcenturies. Saved from the felling planned to widen the cantonal road, it is now managed by the municipality of Monteceneri and hosts exhibitions and cultural events of various kinds. Today it still has some well-preserved features both in its court and inside, which easily allow for costume film settings. Particularly noteworthy is the large main hall, with a large working fireplace, historical fixtures, wooden ceiling, original terracotta floors and well-preserved medieval frescoes. Other rooms used for exhibitions have been carefully restored in a contemporary style.
