Alessandro Grande's Itaca is the winner of the Ticino Film Commission Residence Award, given for the second time this year as part of Alliance 4 Development. The Italian director's film-in-development, produced by Alessandro Amato, Luigi Chimienti and Chiara Cruciatti (dispàrte, Italy), won a two-day location scouting (worth 4,000 francs) and a Letter of Intent (LOI) for financial support for the production company (worth up to 12,000 francs) in case all or part of it is shot in Ticino.
The award was presented on Sunday, August 11 as part of the awards ceremony of Locarno Pro, the industry platform of the Locarno Film Festival
