Spring Academy's short films at the 75th Locarno Film Festival in the Pardi di domani section

The short films made as part of the Spring Academy workshop will be screened in a special event entitled 'Let's make something' within the Pardi di domani section during the Festival. The event is on Thursday 4 August 2022 at 5pm at the PalaVideo.

The Spring Academy is the new film production workshop inaugurated on the occasion of the ninth edition of "L'immagine e la parola", organised by the Locarno Film Festival and Cisa with the support of the Ticino Film Commission and the backing of RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera. The Spring Academy took place from 11 to 20 March 2022 and led twelve young filmmakers to make their own short film in the surroundings of Ticino, starting from a reflection on the activation of the role of the spectator within filmmaking.

The twelve selected filmmakers from all over the world were guided by the Italian director and screenwriter Michelangelo Frammartino, always attentive to the relationship that is created within the environmental and cultural context. Four young talents from Ticino also participated in the workshop: Matilde Casari, Agnese Làposi, Reto Gelshorn and Ben Donateo. The Ticino Film Commission assisted the participants before and during the shooting of their short films by providing support.
